The Living Tall Tale

You just had to look didn't you? Everyone does, but why?

Because I wanted you to. But with good reason.

You were not looking for information on such a thing, but it caught your interest didn't it? You thought it was worth a moments time and now you are reading why this is important. It is not just a come on either- the Aqua-Keet is a real presentation as is the importance of this little example.

Buster is an living example of Applied Thought Technologies. There are several reasons why people take to him and why they have to look.

He was designed for success from his color to his name.

He came about because Rich Sea Pak™ wanted a unique presentation/display for the Wal-Mart annual shareholders event in which they were participating. And I was asked to come up with something memorable and different.

Buster fit the bill perfectly. Here is why.

All of those attending were given disposable cameras to take pictures with during the event. I wanted to make sure these pictures would be taken and they would be shown around and put in scrapbooks. Also I wanted these people every time they saw the Sea-Pak logo to remember Buster and tell a friend and  fondly remember the time. So I came up with some very specific programming.

I put a couple of boxes of Sea-Pak product in the tank with Buster and the goldfish. I put a cover over the front of the tank so no one could see him until I finished my talk (It was very similar to a side show situation were Buster would be exhibited to a new crowd every ten minutes).

$ 10,000 Guarantee posters were on both sides of the stage so they knew he was real, the fish were real, and he was really in the tank.

I told them of how the tank and fish came from Wal-Mart, which was the truth. I told them what they would see and how they would react and I slowly raised the cover about an inch and put it back down.

The crowd would all be leaning forward and I would tell them "I know, y'all are going to want a picture, so this is what I will do. Get out your cameras and I will take your picture with him." and then I would take the cover off (The timing here was important, I did not wait for them. If you want to know why you will have to see the lecture).

There would be dead silence then smiles and laughter and many comments on how cute he is. Then I would start taking pictures of the audience with Buster.

They would step up bend down next to the tank smile and I would snap the picture and give their cameras back.

The end result was that all of these people would have pictures of themselves with Buster and my client's product. They also have a unique story to tell when they show the picture. And because of the way it was presented when they see the product and if they are with someone, they will relate the story.

What more could any sponsor want? Buster tied in well with their product of Sea Food. He was the talk of the event. And those attending wanted to have their picture taken with him and then would relate the story and product tie in to their friends.

And as we all know we use those products we know. Or have a good feeling about.

The psychological aspects of Buster's presentations are covered in my lectures . I also can design specific programs for your company or event. Click here to go back to the main page for further information or use the Back key on you browser
